About me
I am an experienced integrative counsellor and psychosexual and relationship therapist and a registered member of both British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the College of Sexual and Relationship Theapy (COSRT). As well as working with individuals and couples, I am qualified to work with children and young people and I hold an enhanced DBS certificate. I am fully trained in EMDR. I work with individuals and couples to address sexual problems and improve understanding and communication about sexual experiences and desires.
I have 18 months experience offering IAPT-compliant counselling to adults experiencing common mental health symptoms such as depression and anxiety. I was a volunteer counsellor for the mental health organisation Mind, and was employed by Mind for two years as a counsellor. For two years I managed the counselling service in a large sixth-form college.
I am deeply committed to my own development as a therapist, and I continue to train and attend regular high-quality supervision.

Prior to qualifying as a counsellor, I worked as a secondary school teacher, and I have taught in a range of schools and sixth-form colleges. I have been pastoral and subject lead, and I have extensive safeguarding experience. I am also a writer and editor.
I have lived and worked in East and West Europe and in South and Southeast Asia.
