About me

I am an experienced integrative counsellor and an accredited and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). As well as working with individuals and couples, I am qualified to work with children and young people and I hold an enhanced DBS certificate. I am currently training as a psychosexual therapist to help individuals and  couples address sexual problems and improve their sexual relationship, and I am a student member of COSRT, the professional body for Sexual and Relationship Therapists.

I have 18 months experience offering IAPT-compliant counselling to adults experiencing common mental health symptoms such as depression and anxiety. I was employed for two years by a leading UK mental health organisation to help set up and run the counselling service of a sixth-form college.

Prior to qualifying as a counsellor, I worked as a secondary school teacher, and I have taught in a range of schools and sixth-form colleges. I have been pastoral and subject lead, and I have extensive safeguarding experience. I am also a writer and editor.
